We Are The Spot For: Holographic Security Products for Artifacts
Enlarged to show detail We are in the business of collecting and selling Western lithic materials, and therefore we are interested in selling only authentic and authenticated materials. We are also keenly aware of the group of individuals who wish to fraudulently copy and sell fake items. These frauds include: 1. Creating fake Certificates of Authenticity. 2. Copying and substituting fake points which accompany valid COAs. Most dealers, ourselves included, have placed UV marks on points prior to sending them to customers. The marking is only visible with a black light. The problem is that an Artifaker, even if he knows about the UV mark, will go ahead and chip a fake copy and return it along with the COA to the seller, saying that they have decided not to buy the item. There have even been instances where the UV mark from the authentic point has been copied on to the fake point. When this happens-- the fight is on! We Want To Prevent the Fight! ? We now offer you a method to prevent your Certificates of Authenticity, and your prized lithic items from being copied or forged. To eliminate all of these problems The Spot For, as a distributor for a major manufacturer of holographic security products, has created a set of fraud proof/tamper proof/copy and scan proof holographic security labels specifically for artifact collectors. The product created is a pair of small holographic labels with matching numbers. One of the labels is applied to the COA, and the other smaller label is applied to the artifact. Once the labels are affixed they cannot be removed or repositioned without destroying the holographic pattern. BENEFITS: 1. Stops the Artifaker from even attempting to copy your point. 2. Immediate visual indication that an attempt has been made to tamper with the security label. 3. Label can never be re-attached and have the hologram operate. 4. A holographic label cannot be scanned or copied, so forgers cannot duplicate your COA. 5. If you are a Collector who may sell some or part of your collection at a later date, HSP security will give your buyer confidence that what they are buying is exactly what your COA depicts. 6. If you are a Dealer and abide by AACA guidelines which provide buyers with 14 days to keep or return lithic items, you will be assured the item you receive back is the same item you sent to the potential buyer. Simply put a statement on each shipment that says “If you tamper with, or remove the holographic label, you just bought the point!” 7. If you are a Dealer and you offer not only a COA, but HSP security, your customers will always select your offering over an equal item offered for sale without the extra security protection. 8. We keep the labels secured, and maintain a log of numbers, so no duplicates will be issued. 9. As an authorized distributor of this product, labels are available to us only through a secure ordering process with our supplier, so artifakers cannot obtain these labels. 10. You may return items previously authenticated by your authenticator to have HSP labels applied. How it works Our security labels have a built in release pattern that shows evidence of tampering. The release pattern is in the form of dots. The release pattern will separate from the material leaving an adhesive residue on the surface to which applied and leaves the same pattern in the label. We have tested and be assured that lithic artifacts are in no way damaged by the label.
Enlarged to show detail If needed the label can be easily removed from the artifact. The residue is easily removed by rubbing your finger over the place where the holograph was affixed, or with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. HOW DO I GET HOLOGRAPHIC SECURITY ADDED TO MY ARTIFACTS? Ask your authenticator to contact us at TheSpotFor@AOL.com. We will insure that they have the labels and can provide the service to you, or send your Western Points to:
